"My cat has had a tough year with respect to allergies that seemed to appear out of nowhere. After a diet change, many symptoms resolved, but she was still scratching the back of her ears at and below the base, creating scabs. She's been to a vet allergist and had tissue scrapings analyzed, so it's not a parasite or fungal problem. She's had several antibiotic courses, so it's not bacterial either.
